I don't post every photo shoot I do. This one, though, I had no choice but to share!
I held a Facebook contest about a month ago, and Jeni and her family ended up being picked from the hat for a free family session. We scheduled the shoot for a day in early December, with little else planned. Jeni is very creative, and her family was up for anything! It was a bit exciting showing up with such open-ended possibility.
That morning turned out to be a foggy one, and we couldn't be more thrilled. There's something so magical and other-worldly about such weather.
Their family couldn't be more adorable. The two smallest McCulloughs, Zander and Phineas, have the reddest locks, and they seemed to shine in the gloominess.
There's an old bridge near downtown that was perfect for the occasion.
After a few full family photos, the boys were released to run a bit. It was so fun to capture them in their joyful kid-ness.
Photo shoots like this are part of why I love photography. Capturing genuine moments and real life interactions. Those are the pictures that hold the most weight.
The last two days I've spent catching up on editing- snuggled up with the pups, guzzling joe, listening to Christmas tunes. A tree hunt post is in the works( :
