overwhelmed

That's how I've felt for the past fourteen days, and that's how I feel when I attempt to encapsulate all that has happened in those two amazing weeks within one little blog post.

I've already made such amazing friends!

The culture of YWAM is so rich and loving! I am completely surrounded by people who are actively and intentionally pursuing relationship with God, and with others.  I feel as if I am drowning sometimes, because of all the love these people pour out.

One of the primary lessons God has been trying to teach me over the last 3-4 months – and especially the last two weeks – is that I need to learn to be receptive to His gifts. Receiving anything from anyone is so hard for me – especially when I don't feel I deserve it. Love is the hardest of all for me to receive. This time has been one of learning to receive, and realizing just how much love is being extended to me! One of the ways that many of you have shown love to Hailey and I is by supporting us and our crazy journey ahead. Thanks to all of your for your prayers, donations and kind words! We are both blown away by all of you.

With that in mind, we have some big news- we will be going to Brazil for outreach at the end of June! We will spend a short time in the capital city of Brasilia, and then spend almost two full months ministering to remote villages in the Amazon Rainforest! We are beyond excited. We have enough money for the plane tickets and visas, but still need approximately $3,500 in order to be fully funded.
