Cameron & Melissa

This was such a ray of sweetness in the odd landscape of the past year. I have mourned the loss of large gatherings and celebrations and weddings (not negating restrictions or the seriousness of covid, just missing the old days). This downtown wedding was so beautiful and intimate and a reminder that small and simple can be all we need and sometimes even better. It was more of an elopement really— only 10 people were at the ceremony total- the bride and groom, both of their sets of parents, me, the officiant, a friend to play music, and one to run the livestream they did for family and friends. I had an amazing time running around Boise with Cameron and Melissa for their first look and bridals. The light that day paired with their sweet friendship with each other made the photos some of my favorites. After bridals, we headed to their ceremony site downtown to warm up, and they exchanged personal vows. The night ended with a lovely dinner and toasts. Honestly the paired down nature of the gathering made every detail feel more noteworthy. It all left me feeling hopeful about the small and beautiful weddings happening around the world in these wild times, and excited to be a part of more intimate day like this one. Thanks to the Lloyds for inviting me into this sacred day!
